More importantly:

The first international Festival of Dyslexic Culture is coming to London, timed to nicely round-off Dyslexia Awareness Week – to be helf on Saturday, 8th November

Dyslexia Rules London

So, hooray! the date is set:

Saturday, 8th November

the venue (London Metropolitan University*) is ready for us…

(*its where i work, running a range of dyslexia / SpLD professional courses in the FE and HE sectors)

We are a small, effective organising team with loads of (creative, practical and do-able) ideas and a wealth of experience, so things are very much on track for our first Festival

So, what are we doing? celebrating achievements and interests in music, comedy, film, video, technologies, academia, science, in dyslexia /SpLDs, in the arts and much much more…

Interested?

Know someone who may be interested in coming along / taking part / volunteering on the day?

The date is Saturday, 8th November:

* the Festival will run from 11.30am – 6.00pm

* this is followed by Evening Entertainment in the adjoining Rocket venue (comedy stars, music, bands and more) in the evening, 7pm – 10.30pm

* in addition, an Academic Symposium will run from 10.00am – 5.00pm
(with a two-hour break for delegates to eat but most importantly take in some of the art, workshops, vox pop, gaming, live performances – theatre, poetry, readings – and much more and get involved too)

the Festival website, Twitter, FB and link to buy tickets online is via the website, also here:
