The first international Festival of Dyslexic Culture ends Dyslexia Awareness Week on Saturday, 8th November

hooray! the date is set:

Saturday, 8th November

the venue (London Metropolitan University*) is being prepared…

(*its where i work, running a range of dyslexia / SpLD professional courses in the FE & HE sectors)

We now have a small, effective organising team with loads of (creative, practical and do-able) ideas and a wealth of experience, so things are very much on track for the first Festival this November, timed to round-off Dyslexia Awareness Week

So, what are we doing? celebrating achievements & interests in music, comedy, film & video, technologies, academia, science, in dyslexia /SpLDs work, in the arts and much much more…

Interested?

Know someone who may be interested in coming along / taking part / volunteering on the day?

The date is Saturday, 8th November.

* the Festival will run from noon – 6.00pm

* this is followed by Evening Entertainment in the adjoining Rocket venue (comedy stars, music, bands and more) in the evening, 7pm – 10.30pm

* in addition, an Academic Symposium will run from 10.00am – 5.00pm
(with a two-hour break for delegates to eat but most importantly take in some of the art, workshops, vox pop, gaming, live performances – theatre, poetry, readings – and much more and get involved too)
